Irving Harper: a genius at work

Irving Harper was described as “America’s greatest unknown designer”, by the Financial Times. In his spare time he made hundreds of brilliant and intricate paper sculptures, which he referred to as his friends. Harper kept his vast collection private for many years only agreeing to publicly display a small selection a year before he died at the age of 99. After his death, his works were auctioned raising approximately $1.2M in sales.
